HISTORY BUFFS!

LOVERS OF UNIQUE and HISTORIC LODGING!

Help rescue and preserve the history of our Appalachian area by vacationing in a Historic Host lodging.  All profits from our historic lodging rentals will function as “sustainable preservation” by helping each building maintain itself and, in turn, helping rescue and restore more at-risk historic structures for guests to enjoy.

Each Historic Host lodging will be chosen for its own contribution to interesting regional history or culture. It will feature notebooks and artifacts to share with visitors and temporary residents. And it  will be located in an area where visitors will enjoy staying.

Historic Host was started in 2007 by Sue and Jim Maxwell who have more than 20 years of experience in hospitality and tourism. Over the years they have developed several Bed & Breakfasts, most recently Ravenwood Castle in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio.
